OK her we go

background info

i had a couple of people watch me cast today, as i was having problems casting in the direction i wanted.(i was going left, but not really that low). this problem is MAINLY when using a casting style with a moving lead, and 2/10 times with an OTG cast.

i was forced to use a pendulum hybrid cast becase of lack of room to layout off the ground ( a tierd breakwater)

the problem that they had pointed out is that i tend to cut the corner when using a pendulum type cast, but couldnt think of a way to stop it. i ended up with my my back to the water ( but not quite ) and was doing some sort of backcast twistie aerialised Ground cast thingie, that was casting right, and was definatly not comfortable to cast.

another problem that was pointed out is that i tend to loose contact with the lead when turning into the cast and thus loosing compression in the rod.

i cast with a drop of around 4-6" below the centre of the rod

any way now my Q's.

1) how do i stop cutting the corner
2) how do i stop loosing contact with the lead when casting

i relise its a long winded post but any help would be great
