My own rods are the "Exage" range (I also have the 12.5 ft 3ib test rod for bass fishing in the Surf etc), yes, but I don't quite know what this "beast master" distinct is they've now started using - it wasn't used when I purchase the rods over the last year or two.
So, yes, to be clear, I am talking about the Exage range, which are also labled as "STC" (Shimano Travel Concept). More details are on Shimano's website about the various rods in the range.
Like I said, if the practicality side of having a rod which breaks down into 30 odd inches only isn't important to you, I dare say a decent two piecer might offer a slightly better "performance", from the likes of ABU etc but as I have both, I rate the STC Exage highly and they don't cost a bomb - I think you can pick them up for £60 ish
