Hi Neil,

Thanks for your reply as its been most helpfull. I fish the Shannon estuary and its mainly when I've been bringing thornbacks in a tide run that I've been worried about the line snapping. I'm planning on fishing a venue for this year that regularly produces 20lb plus tope from shore which is the main reason for the question.
